From classic Texas Hold'em to live dealer — find the table that matches your level

Unlike slots or roulette where luck plays the bigger role, poker is a game of genuine skill. Players who understand strategy, can read their opponents, and know when to fold or raise are the ones who come out ahead in the long run. beer555 provides an online poker platform that gives Malaysian players the opportunity to sharpen their skills and compete in a fair, secure environment.
Texas Hold'em is the most popular poker variant at beer555 and around the world. Each player receives two hole cards (private cards), and five community cards are dealt face-up on the table across three streets — the Flop (3 cards), the Turn (1 card) and the River (1 card). The goal is to make the best hand using any combination of your two hole cards and the five community cards. While the rules are easy to pick up, the strategic depth of Texas Hold'em is virtually limitless — and that's exactly what makes it so compelling.
At beer555, we offer Texas Hold'em tables for players of every level. Beginners can start at micro-stakes tables with blinds as low as RM 0.10/RM 0.20 — minimal risk, maximum learning. More experienced players can move up to NL200, NL500 and beyond, all the way to exclusive VIP tables with higher limits. The choice is yours.
Omaha is the second most popular poker variant at beer555. Unlike Texas Hold'em, each player receives four hole cards — but you must use exactly two of your hole cards and exactly three community cards. This opens up far more possible hand combinations and makes for a more strategically complex game. Omaha Hi-Lo adds another layer by splitting the pot between the highest and lowest hands, making it especially appealing to players who want a deeper strategic challenge.
For players who want the authentic casino experience without travelling to Genting Highlands, beer555 offers PKT Live Dealer — Casino Hold'em with a live dealer via HD stream. You sit face-to-face with a professional dealer, bet on the strength of your hand against the dealer's, and enjoy a true casino atmosphere from home. Stakes start from as low as RM 5, suitable for players of all levels.
Getting started with poker at beer555 is straightforward. Create a free account, make a deposit via Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, DuitNow, Boost, ShopeePay, or FPX internet banking — all in MYR with a minimum deposit of just RM 20. Beer555 also hosts weekly and monthly poker tournaments with prize pools of up to RM 50,000. These tournaments are open to all beer555 members — from recreational players just getting started to seasoned players looking to test their skills at a higher level. Tournament registration is open on a rolling basis, with buy-ins starting from as low as RM 10.
For new players, start at the beer555 micro tables until you're comfortable with how the game works. Don't rush to move up in stakes — a slow and steady bankroll build is the surest way to grow as a poker player.

Many new players make the same basic mistake when they start playing poker — they play too many hands. A new player typically plays 40–50% of hands, while experienced players stick to around 15–25% in favourable positions.
The most fundamental principle in Texas Hold'em is "position is power". Players who act later have an informational advantage over those who act first. When you're on the Button (last to act), you can play a wider range of hands because you already know what your opponents have done before it's your turn.
Start by only playing premium hands out of position — high pairs (AA, KK, QQ, JJ), mid pairs (TT, 99), and strong Broadway cards (AK, AQ). Once you're comfortable with these fundamentals, gradually widen your hand range based on position and table conditions.
Players who are used to live poker at casinos like Genting Highlands may wonder — what's different about playing online at beer555? The biggest difference is pace. At a live casino, you might see 25–30 hands per hour. At beer555, that can jump to 60–80 hands per hour, and with multi-tabling you can play 200+ hands per hour.
Another advantage of online poker at beer555 is no travel costs, no dress code, and the freedom to play from home or anywhere you like. Stakes are also more varied — from micro tables at RM 0.10/RM 0.20 all the way up to high-stakes VIP tables not found at every physical casino.
Best of all, beer555 lets you play with friends from all over Malaysia in a safe, trusted, and accessible environment — no hours-long drive to Genting Highlands required.
